On-location portrait session info
Sessions last about an hour (depending on your child’s mood and number of locations) and can be a combination of indoor and outdoor locations of your choice. Proofing and ordering is dne online after the session. Fee includes a disk with the low-resolution proof files (suitable for emailing), and print credit of $50 (see menu below).
FAQs
Wardrobe – try to coordinate your family look without being too matchy-matchy. Wear the same degree of dressiness and be prepared for chilly temperatures. Some ideas: earth-tones, greys, jewel-tones, outdoorsy, urban-cool, bohemian, etc.
Backdrop – I use a white backdrop (more like a dropcloth) with young infants. This gives a nice uniform surface for them to lie. All other set-ups are using your home, park or street setting for a more relaxed portrait in your ‘natural environment’. This is great for active toddlers who like to choose their own locations – often very quickly!
Black and White – I shoot everything digitally which means the final product is only limited by our imaginations! Black and white, sepia tone are just some of the possibilities. Digital post-production is also great for composites and album layouts. You will see samples when I meet with you.
Digital Proof Files – Low-resolution proof files are suitable for email and web use and a disk of these files is included with the sitting fee. Not all shots from the session make the cut. I usually shoot at least 200 frames with babies families and then edit these down to 50-100 for you to choose from.
Digital Negatives – High-resolution files suitable to make your own enlargements and prints are available for purchaces.
Payment – I accept cash, Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Payment is due on the portrait day.
Proofing – Your proofs will be available to view on my online ordering system. If we have enough time, we can review your photos on your tv or my laptop immediately after your session.
Timeline – Your online ordering gallery will be online within a few days. After you place your order your prints will be mailed to you or we can arrange for in person pickup. Expect about 10 days from the time you place your order. Composites, albums and greeting cards require design approval from you (done online). Once the design is finalized and approved by you, the turnaround is 10 days.

Greeting Cards: $3.00 each + $50 one-time set-up fee. Minimum order of 50. These cards are 5×7 full-color folded cards printed on heavy duty semi-gloss cardstock with your choice of text inside. Envelopes are included.
Composites: Custom designed compositions with your choice of images and text. Add $50 to the print size. Example: an 11×14 composite would be $85. Additional copies are charged at the regular print size rate.
Albums: Custom designed 8×8″ 20-page keepsake album $300. Each page layout is designed, printed and mounted in the album by Jing. Approximately 40 images are included in each album. Additional copies of the same album are available at $195 each.
Digital Negatives: High-resolution digital files suitable for photo prints are available for purchase at $50 each. A disk with all high-resolution files from the session (50+) is available for $450.
